Meet Tony Compton of Compton Dairy Farms
Life on the 200-acre Compton Dairy farm can involve long hours, hard manual labor and stressful conditions. But for farmer Tony Compton, who was born and raised on a dairy farm, the passion outweighs the pain. "You've got to love it or don't do it. It's that simple."
"For Kentucky families to be drinking my farm's milk, it's a real good feeling."
Compton credits the dairy farming lifestyle for teaching him important life lessons—lessons he's trying to pass along to Benjamin, his 23 year-old son. "Whatever you do, do it your best." Along with the hard work of milking and caring for 200 Heifers comes a great sense of pride.
